The Treasure Island Groin and Bluff Protection Project consisted of demolishing an old concrete access pier and rebuilding an original concrete and rock groin.
 
OUR MISSION
The L.E. Wentz Company, and the Developer Five Star Resort Company contracted J.C. Baldwin Construction Company to build a 408' long Bluff Stabilization Wall and Beach Groin. This work included demolition of an old existing concrete slab and pier and constructing the new groin utilizing 1,575 tons of rip rap, 370 cubic yards of concrete and finishing off the entire groin to simulate the surrounding bluff formation. The job was performed on a very tight time schedule and adverse tide conditions.
