Planet Pacific is a building located on the southeast intersection of Las Ramblas and Puerta Real in Mission Viejo, California. The site contains a 17,000 square foot, three-story, steel moment-framed office building, which had experienced nine inches of settlement on the northwest side of the structure.
 
OUR MISSION
J.C. Baldwin Construction (JCB) was contracted to install a series of 48" x 70' deep cast-in-place piers with pile caps and grade beams extending six feet under the perimeter of the building. All of the drilling and shoring involved was completed with minimal disturbances to the tenants of the building, which continued to run during construction in the 100%-occupied building. The Planet Pacific Structural Underpinnings Project was a difficult job which required the skills, expertise, and teamwork from the crew at JCB.
